Position Available: Registered Nurse | CCU (Coronary Care Unit)
Location: Wagga Wagga, NSW
About the Role: We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses for roles within the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in Wagga Wagga. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients with acute cardiac conditions, including those requiring intensive care and high dependency support. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CCU, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise to manage complex patient presentations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Skills and Experience:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, with specific experience in acute coronary syndrome pathways preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic clinical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including weekdays, weekends, and night shifts.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) and High Flow Oxygen therapy.
- Proficiency in managing pacing wires.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualification.
