The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Registered Nurses (Day Medical and Clinical Trials)
to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Demonstrate core clinical skills such as advanced patient assessment skills, PIVC insertion, PICC Care and PORT care
- Collaborative teamwork approach, displaying high level communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, delivering a high standard of care within the outpatient clinic
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (3 positions, hours negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $80 342 - $103 053 per annum, $40.51 - $51.97 per hour
About Us
The Tugun Day Medical Unit consists of nine bed/chairs including a procedure room. The unit provides care to chronic and acute non chemotherapy patients and works collaboratively within outpatients and inpatient care units. Patient-centred and evidence-based care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
Please note, the service provision of the Day Medical Units may include providing clinical support at other sites across the Hospital and Health Service.
