The Position
St John of God Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding areas. Our healthcare facility is operated by St John of God Health Care, and provides public patient services under a public-private partnership with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
A vacancy is available for an experienced Registered Nurses to commence in our Day Surgery/Minor Theatre on a Casual basis.
Our Registered Nurses are vital members of the multi-disciplinary health care team who collaboratively strive to deliver excellent care to clients and their families. As a member of our team, you will effectively and safely deliver client care as guided by our organisation’s values of client centered care, trust and respect in an environment that continuously identifies opportunities for improving the quality of client care.
The successful candidates will have:
A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
Knowledge of acts, codes and standards relevant to current practice.
A commitment to personal ongoing education and professional development.
Clear concise written and verbal communication.
Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Ability to identify and solve problems, or seek help from appropriate resources.
Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team.
Ability to prioritise and multitask to achieve desired results.
Knowledge and experience in the application of continuous quality improvement principles.
An understanding of, and ability to apply occupational health and safety principles to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace.

Salary: $67,246 - $94,435 + 10.5% superannuation
