About the role
The community based home detox nurse is a full time role that works from the Calvary Drug and Alcohol centre. The nurse works closely with General Practitioners to support clients through withdrawal from substances in the comfort of their own home. This role coordinates the withdrawal and post withdrawal care to aid long term recovery from substance use.
Your main duties will include:
- Intake assessment
- Care planning and coordinating
- Building relationships with local Medical practices
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute setting
- Sound clinical skills
- Willingness to build skills in the drug and Alcohol Setting
- Current drivers license
