What you'll be doing:
An exciting opportunity to work as a Registered Nurse in the brand-new Emergency Department located at Nepean Hospital.
You will be well supported by an experienced and dedicated team which consists of a Nurse Manager, NUM's, Nurse Practitioners, CNCs, CNE, CNSs and RNs. ED here at Nepean has positive, safe, and innovative environment and meets needs of staff, patients and their family members. It has a diverse team who demonstrate CORE values and provide exceptional person-centered care. Full time and Part time positions available.
This imperative role will see you ensure optimal outcomes for patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care and to work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of patient care. At all times you will act as an advocate for the specific needs of all patients/clients and carers including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the patient/client undergoing specialised procedures.

A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection criteria to be addressed: * Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Recent experience working in an acute care setting as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work in a busy fast paced environment
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written with demonstrated negotiation skills
- Able to perform effectively as a team member in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to work 7 day rotating roster including morning evening & night shift
