About the role
The Patient Services Manager (PSM) is a key leader in hospital administration functions, including bookings, patient services, ward clerk(s), sessional clinics and medical records. The PSM will be working closely with the Executive and Senior Management teams to ensure all administrative functions are delivered efficiently and drive positive outcomes through effective leadership, while upholding Calvary's values.
Your main duties will include:
- Ensure the team meets KPIs and maintains high accuracy standards.
- Efficiently manage staffing needs and ensure operations run within budget.
- Continuously work on process improvement and implementation to enhance service efficiency.
About you:
- Demonstrated management or leadership experience, preferably within a hospital setting, with a strong understanding of computerised patient administration systems.
- Well-developed understanding of hospital business processes and procedures, particularly in Health Information and Patient Services management, coupled with a dedicated customer service approach.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills, along with proficient interpersonal, organisational, and time management abilities.
- Ability to liaise, negotiate and consult with management, staff and patients, through strong customer focus
- Demonstrated ability in leading a team in a busy work environment with a focus on meeting prescribed deadlines, and managing interpersonal issues within the team.
