About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child & Family Health Service team as aRegistered Nurse, where you will be responsible for:
- Assess client needs, plan, implement, and coordinate service delivery from various options, including other disciplines or agencies.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance client safety, minimize risks, and ensure safe work practices.
- Provide health promotion and education to clients or groups to enhance individual health outcomes.
- Participate in evaluative research activities within the practice setting.
- Provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, including Enrolled Nurses, with increasing capacity over time.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse (Midwife optional) by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting.
