About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at this Aged Care Facility, you will play a pivotal role in providing holistic and person-centered care to your residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of your residents are met.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to residents.
- Administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing any changes in residents' conditions.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Providing emotional support, empathy, and compassionate care to residents and their families.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Skills and Experience: To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Registered Nurse qualification and current APHRA registration.
- Proven experience working in an Aged Care Facility or a similar setting.
- Sound clinical knowledge and ability to effectively manage complex care needs of elderly individuals.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact empathetically and professionally with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines related to aged care nursing.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of elderly individuals.
