We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse Level 1 - Perioperative on a Full-Time, Permanent basis
You will work in a growing health care service that includes a brand new Critical Services Building that will provide state of the art services to Canberra and the surrounding regions. Our healthcare team is the largest tertiary teaching hospital in the region providing trauma, medical and surgical services located in Canberra, ACT.
The Critical Services Building will be home to a bigger emergency department with dedicated children's emergency area, more operating rooms, more treatment spaces, and more intensive care beds. It will also have an intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging suite, three new cardiac cath labs, including a hybrid cardiac laboratory and an electrophysiology laboratory. The new building will be one of Australia's newest and most technologically advanced health care facilities.
Duties:
Under the limited direction of your manager, you will perform duties as a Registered Nurse Level 1 in an acute care service. You will:
Provide patient centred care within an ethical and professional framework.
Practice in accordance with the relevant legislation
Integrates nursing & health care knowledge, skills & attitudes to provide safe & effective nursing care.
Integrates organisational policy & guidelines with professional standards.
Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.
Practice in a way that acknowledges the dignity, culture, values, beliefs & rights of individuals & or groups.
Advocate for individuals & or groups & their rights for nursing care within the organisational & management structure
Understands & practices within own scope of practice.
