About Canberra Private Hospital:
Canberra Private Hospital in Deakin ACT is part of the Nexus Hospitals group. Nexus employs over 1600 talented and passionate people across 27 hospitals, as well as 3 support offices.
Canberra Private Hospital is a purpose-built day surgery/short stay hospital with excellent facilities, specialising in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Plastic and cosmetic surgeries, Oral & maxillofacial, Urology, Gynaecology, ENT and IVF
Our hospital includes 4 fully integrated operating theatres, stage 1 and stage 2 recovery areas and a 37 overnight beds across two wards which include 4 close observation beds.
On-site we have Inpatient and day rehabilitation services which includes:
- an onsite gymnasium
- Diagnostic services, including pathology and radiology
These services are supported by an in-house comprehensive allied health service team.
In addition, our patients enjoy free Wi-Fi, Foxtel and 5 Star rated meals prepared in our onsite kitchen by our award winning chef

About the Role:
Due to an expansion in our services, wonderful opportunities are currently available at Canberra Private Hospital for experienced Level 2Registered Nurses to join our busy Surgical/Rehabilitation/ COU wards.
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs.
Imperative to your success in this role will be:
- delivering exceptional clinical outcomes
- education, mentoring and leadership
- Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with human, physical and financial resources and quality activities
The days/hours are flexible and we are looking to offer Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time and Casual contracts to the right candidates.
About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience as a Level 2Registered Nurse Surgical/Rehabilitation/ COU wards.
- A passion for educating, mentoring and leadership
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- A true commitment to delivering high quality patient care
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Experience in the above specialties highly desirable.
