Job description

Dale Cottages has been providing care and accommodation to the community of Armadale for more than 60 years. We operate Home Care Services, a Retirement Village, Community Centre and Residential Aged Care  service. With an excellent reputation in the community we provide a high standard of care to all our consumers.  

We are seeking Registered Nurses who have a passion in caring for the Aged to join our Clinical Care team at J E Murray Home, where we think of our consumers as our family. We foster a culture of inclusion and respect and take great pride in delivering person-centered care through lifestyle, quality, choice and clinical nursing services.

This role will transition to our new 114-bed facility, Dale Residency, in July 2024. This is an exciting time to join our organisation as we transition to our new state of the art facility.

About the Role:

As part of the Clinical Care Team you will: 

  • Undertake assessments, create care plans and nursing interventions in partnership with consumers and/or their representatives, in line with consumer needs and preferences, professional guidelines and organisational processes. 
  • Liaise with medical, allied health, pharmacies, service providers and equipment providers to ensure a holistic, comprehensive delivery of care. 
  • Document and report care interventions, observations, changes in needs and consumer feedback in a accurate, objective and efficient manner. 
  • Coordinate staff as required on a shift-by-shift basis 
  • Assist in the review and dissemination of clinical policies, procedures and assessment tools under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager. 
  • Provide clinical advice and education to persona l care staff to ensure appropriate care. 

The Successful candidate will have: 

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse 
  • Minimum of 3 years full time nursing experience
  • A passion and empathy for working with older consumers and their families
  • An interest in the assessment and review of contemporary care practices
  • Attention to details and well-developed documentation skills
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Full Work rights in Australia 
  • National Police Clearance - Not less than 3 months old. 
  • Proof of 2024 Influenza vaccination
