Palm Lake Care in Bargara, Qld is currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our dedicated clinical team.

Employment Term: Full Time/Part Time Positions. AM, PM and Night shifts available

Remuneration:  $43.05 - $48.86 per hour (experience based) + Super + Penalties

Relocation Assistance: Allowance up to $5000 – details to be discussed with successful applicants.

Sign on Bonus: $20,000 – details to be discussed with successful applicants.

Role Responsibilities: As a Registered Nurse at Palm Lake Care, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical care and services tailored to the individual needs and preferences of our residents.  Your responsibilities will include:

  • Adhering and practicing against the AHPRA Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.
  • Respecting all cultures and experiences of our residents
  • Maintains and contribute to accurate comprehensive and timely documentation of assessments, planning, decision making actions and evaluations.
  • Actively fosters a culture of safety and learning that includes engaging with health professionals and others, to share knowledge and practice that supports person-centred care.
  • Participates in and/or leads collaborative practice, and reports notifiable conduct of health professionals, health workers and others. 
  • Develops and contribute to personalised care planning. Involving and participating with our residents and their representatives in case conferencing. 
  • Completing medication administration in accordance with relevant policies/processes, legislation to ensure safe administration, and accurate evaluation of medication. 
  • Identifying and responding to residents’ needs, incidents, and changes in conditions
  • Educating and mentoring new clinical employees
  • Monitoring call bells and facilitating timely responses.
  • Assisting Doctors with rounds
  • Completing scheduled duties and equipment maintenance

What we are looking for: To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

•              Bachelor of Nursing qualification with current AHPRA registration

•              Previous experience working in an Australian Aged Care Facility

•              Strong understanding of person-centered care principles

•              Competence in medication management, clinical skills and documentation

•              Team-orientated mindset with excellent communication skills 

•              Commitment to continuous improvement and empathy towards elderly residents and their families

•              Knowledge of AN-ACC and Accreditation standards (advantageous)

•              Familiarity with Autumn Care (highly regarded)

•              National Police Check clearance
