About the Role

You will make a positive impact on the life of residents with your compassionate, empathetic and supportive approach that empowers residents' choices and independence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures the residents’ physical health and comfort is maintained by providing routine and non-routine clinical care
- Ensures that families are fully informed about issues relating to their relative
- Ensures that communication between peers and staff is upheld and fostered to ensure duties are performed accurately and holistically
- Contributes to the effective functioning of the team by sharing clinical knowledge and skills
- Contributes to the operation of the shift by working co-operatively and collaboratively with the other members of the team
- Medication Assistance and Administration
- Practice duty of care, and promote personal safety and risk management
- Promote dignity of risk which empowers residents’ choices and independence
- Work in collaboration with internal and external service providers to provide clinical solutions
- Adhere to policies and procedures during the normal course of carrying out duties and responsibilities
Skills and Experience
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Previous Aged Care and/or Hospital experience highly regarded
- The ability to supervise, delegate and work as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
