We currently hold a new opportunity within the Community Virtual and in home team for a Registered Nurse to join our team on a Casual basis. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a high standard of care is maintained at all times. In this role, you will provide a high level of nursing services for our Hospital in the Home clients and the community clients on Home Care Packages.

Some of the tasks involved in this role include:

• Providing hands-on care to clients as part of the multidisciplinary care team.
• Assisting with the implementation of best practice nursing policies, procedures and legislation.
• Hygiene & Continence Cares
• Clinical assessment of clients using a holistic approach.
• Continence assessments and Mass 50 applications
• Virtual Consults
• Documenting and reporting any change in clients' statuses.
• Wound Care
• IDC/SPC care
• Medication administration and education
• Provide ongoing training support and education to clients and extended Care team.
• Use of own car to drive between clients' houses'.

Things that work for us:

• Advanced clinical experience.
• A current AHPRA registration.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Valid Queensland Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle with Comprehensive car insurance
• Experience in inspiring other staff & leadership qualities.
• Great communication, time management and excellent customer service skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in Aged Care and or Community Nurse will be highly regarded.
• Vaccinated (and up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19
• National Police Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
