Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.Our Drug and Alcohol Service in Blue Mountains is growing. The team is seeking to recruit Registered Nurses in the role of a Case Manager for the Opioid Treatment Program. Permanent Full Time or Part time positions are available for the successful incumbents.As a Registered Nurse, you will provide a high level of case management to patients of the service, including the administration of methadone and buprenorphine and Buprenorphine/Naloxone in accordance with the NSW Poisons Act (1966).   • Demonstrated experience and clinical skills in Acute Medical / Mental Health Nursing as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse) and a keen interest to learn and gain experience in Drug and Alcohol.
  • Demonstrated awareness of Drug and Alcohol dependence issues and Opioid Treatment Programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multi-disiplinary team including Medical, Nursing, Allied Health and Community staff as well as General Practitioners, and external agencies.
  • Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to identify and resolve conflict situations by managing own emotional responses and interacting with others in a personable and professional manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, day or evening shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements.
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
