Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd is currently seeking experienced Level 1Registered Nurses to join their team on a permanent basis. A Registered Nurse plays a vital role in the Good Shepherd Lodge team by providing effective holistic nursing care to the residents and maintaining a safe working environment for both staff and residents. You must possess good communication skills, be honest, reliable, hardworking and have pride in the delivery of quality care to residents.
The model of care for nursing services in Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd is focused on resident/family care and is based on a continuum of care model. Nurses function as equal members within a multidisciplinary team and are committed to advocating on behalf of resident/family.
Good Shepherd Lodge LTD nursing staff provide total resident care within a professional partnership model, which is based on:
- Nurses working together to provide optimal resident outcomes
- Support and development of all nurses including facilitating preceptorship for Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse transition programs
- Creating a learning environment
- Maximising the clinical skills of all registered and enrolled nurses through a working partnership
- Facilitating succession planning opportunities for nurses.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to delegate to other staff within their scope of practice
- Strong understanding of Aged Care documentation and Standards
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, plan care, document care and manage emergencies
- An empathetic attitude to the needs of the residents
- Competency in medication and wound management
- A Reliable and flexible approach to a 24 hour rostering system
- Recent experience in a clinical setting, hospital or aged care setting
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities.
- National Police Check Clearance

- Experience in the Aged Care Sector beneficial but not essential
