We are hiring Registered Nurses for our Older Persons Mental Health Casual Pool!
- Older Persons Mental Health Casual Pool Registered Nurse and/or Midwife provides nursing services in various service settings throughout the organisation, primarily Ward18V & RNBU.
- The Registered Nurse will be allocated to work in wards/units across the organisation dependant on clinical requirement.
- The Registered Nurse within this level consolidate knowledge and skills and develops in capability through continuous professional development and experience.
- The Registered Nurse accepts accountability for standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others.
- Mental Health Qualification not required but experience preferred.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Nurse Manager MH Divisional Casual Pool, the Registered Nurse will provide their nursing services in various service settings throughout the organisation. In this role, some of your responsibilities may include:
- Consolidating knowledge and experience to develop capabilities through continuous professional development and experience.
- Supporting nursing practice and learning experience for students undertaking clinical placements, orientation for new staff.
- Using foundation theoretical knowledge and evidence-based guidelines to achieve positive patient/client care outcomes.
About you:
- Effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
- Experience working with clients and carers/family members with Mental Health problems.
