The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Registrar Advanced Trainee (Renal) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Function as a team member with various health care professionals of the Renal department
  • Be expected to respond to the requests promptly and provide appropriate advice
  • Work closely with consultants to ensure smooth running of the team and Renal department
  • Attend and actively participate in various Renal meetings

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Drivers Licence
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (up to 7 months with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $4 822.20 - $5 591.00 per fortnight

About Us

Renal Department of the Gold Coast University Hospital takes pride in delivering evidence based multidisciplinary care to the population of Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. trainees will be asked to see patients in Accident and Emergency (AE), Medical Day Unit (MDU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Outpatients and in sub-specialty wards. This position will also rotate across facilities at Robina and Tugun.
