The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Registrar - Medical Oncology vacancy.The Medical Oncology position would suit trainees in palliative medicine, general medicine, also potentially meeting accredited core training in Medical Oncology.The appointee would be working alongside another two advanced trainees in Medical Oncology.Salary$131,000 - $183,500 per annumClassificationMedical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar)AwardMedical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) AwardPeriod of EmploymentFixed term, full time day work, 76 hours (+10 hours protected training time) per fortnight, commencing 5 August 2024 to 3 February 2025 (18 months negotiable).Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.LocationRoyal Hobart HospitalDutiesThe Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital and provides on call cover for the Medical Oncology unit as well as infrequent after-hours emergency cover at the hospital.Essential Requirements
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
