We are currently seeking applications for Registrars (Paediatrics) to work across the North West region.The NWRH is a modern facility that provides acute care facilities for residents of the North West region of Tasmania. It is a University Teaching Hospital for the Rural Clinical School of the University of Tasmania.Our registrars are actively involved in ward rounds and patient assessment and management and find they are well prepared for further registrar training opportunities.The role:The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of inpatients at the NWRH, including neonates in the special care nursery and postnatal ward. Outpatients' duties include participating and conducting multi discipline Paediatric clinics. The successful applicant is also required to attend to referrals from the emergency department across both sites and to attend deliveries in labour ward and theatre at the NWRH. Additional responsibilities include teaching and supervision of junior staff and medical students, participation in the academic program and clinical governance activities.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of AppointmentFixed Term full time, shift worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from July 2024 until July 2026*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
