Create impact as a Release and Site Reliability Engineer.Join the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand.YOUR ROLEOur Technology and Operations Enterprise Environment & Release Engineering team is looking for a Release and Site Reliability Engineer to join the team.In this position, your primary responsibility will be to help establish and maintain Release and Site Reliability Engineering practices. This includes ensuring the overall performance of IAG's platforms to enhance customer experiences. You will promote best practices in engineering and modern software delivery approaches, supporting IAG's Agile, DevOps, and Product Ownership initiatives. Additionally, you will facilitate automated incident detection, reporting, logging, and troubleshooting, integrating meaningful X-ray and debugging information into tools.Additionally, your expertise in DevOps practices will be crucial for automating tasks and workflows related to Release Management and Governance.This is a full-time permanent role, open for the Sydney location.​ABOUT YOUWe are seeking a Release and Site Reliability Engineer who has strong interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and enhancing automation along with the following experience:

• Experience working in Release and SRE, DevOps or similar role.
• Expert understanding of modern software delivery approaches (CI/CD, DevOps, Test Automation) and Agile ways of working.
• Cloud services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, AWS Certified Developer Associate preferred.
• Experience with observability, logging and dashboarding tools like New Relic, Grafana, Splunk and Prometheus
• RESTful API integration, particularly with Service Now DevOps, JIRA and Confluence to accomplish engineering solutions towards integrations.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Typescripts to write AWS Lambda functions to drive automations.
• Proficiency with version controlling in GIT and BitBucket
• Know-how of CI/CD tools and platforms including GitHub actions, Docker, Jenkins, Bamboo.
