Release Lead

A Release Manager is required to support a Cloud Transformation Program for our client in Brisbane in government. This will be on an initial 6 month contract with potential extension, this is a full time, hybrid working week.
Your Responsibilities will include

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, operations, and project management, to ensure smooth and efficient release cycles.
• Define and enforce release management processes and procedures.
• Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders to provide updates on release progress and manage expectations
• Planning and executing product releases, ensuring that all components are tested, approved, and ready for deployment.
• Manage and track the implementation schedule.
• Creating and maintaining release documentations.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact the release.
• Monitor and track release activities, ensuring adherence to established timelines and milestones.
• Continuously improve release management processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide guidance and support to development teams regarding release best practices and methodologies.
• Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities.
• Vendor management

The ideal candidate will have

• Experience leading large-scale release management / delivery manager initiatives in cloud transformation
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills (negotiation, engage, influence)
• Strong Agile experience
• Strong Leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and communicate technical issues.
• Understanding of application/system testing best practices
• Experience with ITIL and Agile
