Relief Caretakers Nt/Wa

Are you looking for a sea change with a twist! Ventia are currently seeking causal Relief Caretakers to join their NT/WA Team on a causal basis doing leave cover for our permanent Caretakers. This unique opportunity would see you doing leave cover surrounded by some of the most stunning landscapes you'll ever see, and I might add the barra fishing is some of the best in Australia!How does it work?We normally coordinate our relief roster 6-Months in advance and the periods of cover will be around 2-6weeks per site. As the roles are causal you can pick and choose which periods suit you best.Would this role site me?We can fly people in from anywhere in Australia, or we also have space for a caravan if you are currently traveling. This role would suit retired/semi retired or traveling couples who have the flexibility to cover up to 6 weeks at a time.WA Sites

• Yampi Training Area (Kimberly's)
• Bindoon Training Area
• Northam Defence Training Area
• Lancelin Defence Training Area

NT Sites

• Bradshaw Training Area
• Mount Bundey Training Area
• Bathurst island (Tiwi Islands)

As the Caretaker your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Mowing and slashing as required
• Fire break maintenance.
• Cleaning of all accommodation facilities
• Removal of rubbish
• Providing a security presence
• Irrigation Repairs
• March in and out
• Escorting of contractors on site

Due to the highly specialised and isolated nature of the Caretaker role, specific competencies are necessary to ensure all required tasks can be completed adequately.

• Must hold a current C Class vehicle licence.
• Hold or be able to obtain Certificate in Senior First Aid
• Well, defined written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic Computer skills in MS Office applications
• Have good radio communications skills.
• Mechanical repair experience desirable
