We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Remedial Massage Therapist. Who provides therapeutic services to promote our elderly Clients independence and well-being. Enabling them to remain living in their own homes within Newcastle, Nelson Bay, Maitland and Lake Macquarie

This position is a due to growth and will join others on a small but growing Allied Health team.
About the Role ...What you will be doing –
- Delivery of in-home massage therapy services based on current evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrate proficient assessment and measurement skills, including collection of client information and selection of appropriate assessment tools.
- Manage clients feedback and take corrective action to ensure services remain responsive to consumer need.
- Work in conjunction with the Case Manager to develop therapeutic services that support healthy ageing and improve our clients' health and well-being.
- Effectively communicate with clients and their families, our staff members and other health professionals, with regards to the provision of Massage services.
About You ...What you need to succeed –
- Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice (minimum requirement)
- Association Membership
- Experience with Massage Therapy
- Strong organisational skills
- A demonstrated understanding of comprehensive & holistic assessments of consumers to determine an appropriate care plan.
- Ability to plan and carry out massage services to consumers in need and ensure they are given the appropriate care.
- Ability to develop relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent customer service skills with proven, effective communication/problem solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a community setting.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- An understanding and willingness to work with billable targets.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the area of aged care massage therapy
- Current Full Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable registered and comprehensively insured vehicle or an option to use a pool vehicle.
- Current Full First Aid certificate
- Proof of Influenza and Covid 19 Vaccination
