Remedial Massage Therapist

Chi Acupuncture & Remedial Massage is seeking for a passionate Remedial Massage Therapist to join our amazing team. We are a well-established clinic providing therapeutic massage, focusing on providing relief from physical ailments and injury prevention. We conduct a variety of assessments and tailor our services to address specific needs and conditions. We are based in Claremont WA. 

As our Remedial Massage Therapist, you will provide remedial services to our customers. Your role is about providing client-centred, goal-oriented interventions to our clients and assisting them with their recovery/ rehabilitation.  

Location: Shop 16, Times Square Centre, 337/339 Stirling Hwy, Claremont WA 6010

Qualifications, Experience, License and Skills:

• At least a Diploma level of study in Remedial Massage
• At least 2 years of practical working experience as Remedial Massage Therapist
• Membership with a professional massage association
• Have a Medibank Remedial Massage provider number and able to claim private heath funds for clients
• Communication skills with clients
• Australian Citizenship/ Residency or a valid Australian work permit that allows you to work on a full-time basis
• Have required physical stamina and strength to exert pressure for extended periods of time

About the role

As our Remedial Massage Therapist, you will be working full-time, 5 days a week (38 hours) and you will be responsible for the following: 

• Communicating with clients during initial consultations about their symptoms, medical history, and desired result
• Conducting various tests to identify and evaluate the client’s ailments
• Planning individualised interventions and administering a range of specific Remedial Massage techniques to target and address issues such as pain relief, decreased range of motion, discomfort. 
• Providing progress reports to clients about their physical condition, causes for pain/ discomfort, and rehabilitation advice. 
• Making reassessments during subsequent visits to monitor their recovery progress.  
• Maintaining detailed records of each client’s ongoing condition and progress.

Remuneration

For this role, we are offering a salary of $68,000 – $72,000 + superannuation.
