Our Remote Services Team have immediate need of Remote Services Practitioners in Ngukurr and Borroloola, Big Rivers Region to provide family support services to vulnerable children and their families, deliver evidence based and culturally competent case work and case management services, work collaboratively with stakeholders and provide intensive family support where place-based intervention is considered the safest and most effective approach. Other responsibilities include providing statutory case management services to children in stable long-term placements with kinship carers and departmental carers within the community.
To be successful, you are required to have an Australian tertiary qualification, eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body, demonstrate excellent verbal and listening skills, be computer literate and have a strong knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, family and community structures, as well as the ability to work constructively and sensitively with people from diverse cultures.
