SalaryThe Queensland Government has launched Homes for Queenslanders – an ambitious plan for a fair and sustainable housing system that ensures better housing outcomes both now and for future generations.
The Specialist Response Team works within the department and with external agencies and services to tailor housing assistance for diverse customer groups. This role will specifically support people experiencing domestic and family violence, people experiencing sexual violence, young people, people with complex disability and mental illness to navigate and access mainstream housing assistance.
If you can engage with and identify housing needs of customers with complex and intersecting needs in a person-centred, trauma-informed and culturally-safe approach, collaborate, guide, influence and empower internal and external services, work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies across Queensland, use your strong analytical ability to proactively identify, negotiate, resolve and advise on housing solutions and have the ability to write concisely and communicate clearly we encourage you to submit your resume.
Homes for Queenslanders ( https://www.housing.qld.gov.au/homesforqueenslanders ) works across the housing system including planning reforms, local government partnerships, housing construction and infrastructure, community housing providers and the homelessness sector. It outlines the government's vision for a fair and sustainable housing system under five key pillars ( https://www.housing.qld.gov.au/homesforqueenslanders ). Initiatives in Homes for Queenslanders have been developed to support Queenslanders into safe and secure housing and to improve housing affordability for all.
