SummaryThe Division of Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgery is seeking a qualified Research Assistant I to assist with managing a robust cardiac database, along with assisting with case reports, data cleanup, and supporting clinical research. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator. The selected candidate will provide research support and responsibilities in a hospital setting.Job Duties
  • Performs responsible research work involving preparing, conducting, planning, completing, and occasionally supervising limited research projects, including the Brockman Research Project, following general plans approved by the supervisor.
  • Designs and conducts research experiments.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes data, including clinical data.
  • Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for studies.
  • Documents and interprets the results of experiments and reports to the principal investigator.
  • Develops and modifies computer programs.
  • Selects, evaluates, and determines appropriate research procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
