We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to contribute to our projects on developing and testing online educational modules to support participation of young people living with chronic health conditions in sport.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to gain hands-on research experience in health promotion specifically for children and young people and for people living with chronic and rare diseases. You will be supported by a team of researchers and play a key role in the day-to-day activities relating to these ongoing projects.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting ethics processes.
- Assisting with data collection, data entry and data analysis of our results and findings.
- Coordinating and supporting consumer engagement activities.
- Assisting in preparing dissemination of research outputs.
About You
This position is well suited to someone passionate about child health research specifically concerning physical activity and health promotion and research concerning people living with chronic and rare diseases.
The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (or working towards completion of a bachelor’s degree) in a relevant field such as (but not limited to) psychology, health sciences, exercise science, or biomedical sciences.
- Some understanding and experience in undertaking research projects and/or project coordination in a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, health sciences).
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed analytic, conceptual, and pragmatic problem-solving skills
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
