Part-time 0.6 FTE Fixed Term Contract for 22 months role till June 2026 with possible extension for another yearOutstanding opportunity to provide research expertise in Level A/B qualitative research role working closely with health professionalsResearch Area / Discipline: Implementation Research, health services and education researchBase Salary starting from Level A - $86,584- $116,679 Level B $122,830- $145,858 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThis position is within the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney as part of the MRFF Genomics Health Futures Mission funded ‘PRECISE’ (Practitioner Readiness, Education and Capabilities, with Implementation Science Evaluation) Genomics Research Project, led by Dr Alan Ma.This project aims to co-design genomics resources to support primary care, with an implementation science approach to improve capacity for genomics in the primary healthcare sector. PRECISE has a strong team of researchers based at the University of Sydney (Daffodil Centre, Primary Care network and Postgraduate and professionals’ education research, Children’s Hospital Westmead clinical school and Specialty of Genomic Medicine), industry, health policy, and the primary care sector and is an innovative approach to capacity building and research in this sector.We are seeking to recruit for a Research Fellow Level B / Research Associate Level A /Postdoc Research Associate Level A, with experience in qualitative research methods in clinical settings, such as health services, co-design, and education research. It would suit a postdoctoral researcher from a health services, medical, public health, or genetics background, who is excited and interested about developing expertise in coordinating a multidisciplinary research program. This will involve collaboration with partners in primary care, genomics, education, and implementation science.This position will be actively contributing to the PRECISE research activities with particular focus on genetic education co-design and evaluation, primary care stakeholder engagement, and implementation science research. The candidate will be involved in designing research protocols, drafting and submitting ethics applications, undertaking core aspects of qualitative research work, and contributing to analysis and presentation of findings. They will collate and record research data from qualitative interviews, draw insights and analyses with an implementation science focus, and report information from the research undertaken.
