Job description

This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 45.60 hours per fortnight (0.60 FTE).

Position Profile: The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) are seeking an outstanding individual to join our research team at Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating clinical research, including the management of research grant services and research fellowship/training programs for staff within the Child and Adolescent Health Service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other sources; and stay updated on healthcare-related funding trends and opportunities.
  • Monitoring the progress of approved grants, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and project timelines. Escalating issues of non-compliance and developing and implementing corrective and preventative measures as required.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with grantors, donors, and funding organizations.
  • Staying informed about grant-related regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements. Ensuring that all grant activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Promoting awareness of and ensure compliance with clinical and/or corporate governance requirements; and legislative and other regulatory requirements relating to equity and diversity, disability services and occupational safety and health.

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State’s only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). Consisting of over 6,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service.
