About the role
As a Research Lead - Evidence Synthesis, you will support the planning and conduct of evidence reviews (e.g., systematic reviews, living reviews, meta-analyses) and primary research aiming to deliver the best available research evidence to inform Agency decisions. In addition, your key duties are as follows:
- Work with internal & external stakeholders to scope, develop and manage project plans.
- Design and document protocols for environmental scans, evidence snapshots, scoping or systematic reviews of evidence relevant to clients or models of practice.
- Conduct searches of scientific and grey literature in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) standards.
- Perform research in line with documented protocols for inclusion/exclusion of records, data extraction, quality appraisal and data synthesis.
- Prepare and present research reports and recommendations for different stakeholders, including internal slide-pack summaries for stakeholders.
- Supporting the growth of junior staff
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience in planning and conducting systematic reviews of research evidence
- Strong background with meta-analyses and statistical analysis using R
- Prior research experience in disability, psychology, medicine, epidemiology, education, economics, social science, statistics or related fields
- Familiarity with Evidence Synthesis methods
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
