The position is based in Accor's flagship Canberra hotel, Novotel Canberra conveniently based in the city centre opposite the light rail. We are a 286-room hotel with 8 conferencing and event facilities hosting all events from Corporate groups to sports teams.

About the Role:

Currently, we are looking for a fixed-term Full time Reservation Sales Agent. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provide efficient and professional service to all guests via email and phone
• Maintain a positive selling approach to maximise yield in both occupancy and rates
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all hotel facilities and promotions
• Actively sell hotel facilities and promotions
• Process reservations and update guest profiles
• Attend to guest’s requests quickly and efficiently, constantly striving to provide total customer satisfaction

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Previous proven experience in customer service is essential as well as total dedication to the guest’s journey and attention to detail.
• A positive and vibrant selling approach
• Strong passion for sales and promotion
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with strong and clear communication skills.
• Previous experience in reservation or a similar role in Hotels/ Hospitality is highly regarded
• Exceptional attention to detail with a sense of urgency
• Be available to work atleast 2 saturdays every month.
• Experience with Opera Cloud is highly regarded

This is a a fixed-term full time position until August 2025.
