About the role

As a Resident Liaison Officer in Retirement Living, you will coordinate the social activities for the residents of Wheller on the Park and take the lead in creating an atmosphere within the village that is vibrant and fun and caters to resident choices.

In this role you will have a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Working with new and existing residents to integrate them into the life of the Village and seek innovative ways to improve services and the overall resident experience.
  • Facilitating programs that supports the role of a buddy for new residents and oversee the positive outcomes of this initiative.
  • Assisting the Village Manager and Sales Team with the entrance procedure of new residents moving into the Village.
  • Providing effective and efficient delivery of a range of administrative services for Wheller on the Park including Industry Code Compliance and Accreditation and Workplace Health and Safety

About you

  • Experience in leading, organising and coordinating suitable activities for retirement village residents to create a vibrant environment within the village.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in interpreting and implementing statutory and compliance guidance documents in the workplace.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft suite of products, particularly in creating and formatting and editing regular newsletters promoting Wheller on the Park activities and social events to the village residents. 
  • Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong organisational abilities, including effective time management skills and ability to prioritise and coordinate the activities of residents in a busy work environment. 
  • Understanding and ability to work with seniors. 
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. 
  • Understanding and commitment to customer service, equal employment opportunity, workplace health and safety and continuous quality improvement.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work including the Village minibus.

  • First Aid – Desirable
