Residential Aged Care Nurses: Grade 2-3 Needed in Bendigo

McArthur have partnered with a leading not-for-profit organisation with a reputation for excellence throughout the Metro and Regional Victoria, providing both community and residential Aged Care services.

Uniting AgeWell have a 120-bed facility that is looking to expand in July 24, adding more beds and services to our ageing community, as well as more opportunities to dedicated and caring staff willing to make a change in Aged Care.

We are currently seeking Gr2 - Gr3 Nurses who genuinely care and want to make a difference to the residents who are living in the facility. It is crucial that you see yourself as a team player, have a compassionate heart alongside the clinical skills needed for the position. Bendigo is becoming a desirable city to live (and commute to) in Victoria, with fantastic dining and arts culture, world famous Heathcote Wine Region on its doorstep and plenty of historic goldrush villages dotted around - perfect for endless weekends of exploring in nature, beautiful forests, or boating on the Murray River. There is a fast train service directly to Melbourne with hourly departures and great freeway access to Melbourne allowing for a seamless commute for city weekends! The facility is a 5 minute drive from the station AND can provide accommodation to successful candidates who are either looking to relocate or work temporarily.

Naturally, for this role, you will need high level communication skills, solid clinical experience and a willingness to work shift work - with great penalty rates for evenings, weekends and nights. Gr 3 nurse duties include reporting to the Gr 5 nurse on site - monitoring the memory unit residents, administering medications and overseeing half of the facility. Whilst you are not in charge - the team are looking for a nurse who can step up and supervise staff in the Gr 5 nurses' absence, but still be happy to get stuck in with the other staff.

To work in this role, you will need:

• Current AHPRA registration - RN
• Aged Care Nursing experience desirable but not essential
• Must be able to start in the next 2 weeks with accommodation available
• Be happy to work a full-time roster, with shift work involved.
• Flu (2023) and COVID vaccinations completed.
• Current Police Check
