Residential Draftsperson

Responsibilities

• Create precise and accurate plans integrating house sittings, floor plans, elevations, internal drawings, and slab layouts
• Proactively solve challenges related to visual, construction, or design constraints, responding swiftly to critical needs identified by the Workflow team
• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as sales, estimators, colour selection consultants, and client liaison teams
• Communicate effectively with your manager to resolve technical or design issues
• Conduct thorough checks on every drawing before issue to ensure adherence to project standards, covenants, and company standards
• Maintain updated systems and data records to accurately reflect the progress of each job

Experience

• Minimum Certificate IV in Residential Drafting (or equivalent / or higher qualification)
• Experience working as a draftsperson for a residential home builder, ideally in Perth, WA
• A working knowledge of NCC, relevant Australian standards and local authority requirements including BCA, R-Codes, R-MD Codes and Developer guidelines
• Ability to interpret LDP's, Planning policies, Structure Plans, Developer guidelines
• Strong practical and working knowledge of Archi-Cad
• Excellent attention to detail and strong and proven communication skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and part of a team
• Have full Australian work rights
