To enhance individual motivation for change, the Therapeutic Community combines meaningful work and recreational activities, with therapeutic group work and skills development, in a physically and psychologically safe environment. About this opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to support our new Residential Withdrawal service through the application of related nursing interventions to clients within our Therapeutic Community at Hope Centre! You will work closely with the Withdrawal Nurse (RN) and be responsible for supporting our residents through the withdrawal process.   Key areas of focus: Clinical Networking Quality Duties include but are not limited to… Support the resident through the withdrawal process in a non-medical environment: Assessing, triaging and responding to resident medical needs In collaboration with the Registered Nurse administering medication as prescribed; Maintaining records and ensuring resident confidentiality; Participating in clinical team meetings and communicating/liaising between clinical and medical staff regarding resident medical issues, including: Pharmacotherapy – script dates, changes, scales etc.; Residents on key medications, e.g. anti-psychotic, anti-depressant, strong pain management, to ensure informed and coordinated care. Administration including writing up reports as developed; Assisting in the appropriate referral and conjoint treatment of clients with specific or specialist needs by liaising with other treatment services. Operating within the Enrolled Nurse scope of practice. Contributing to staff meetings and discussions regarding resident health care needs.
