About the role

There is currently one permanent, full time vacancy to be filled from this recruitment process. 

Reporting to the Manager Dispute Resolution, this position is responsible for working towards resolving disputes and conciliating complaints and matters (typically between consumers and legal practitioners) that are suitable for resolution, to promote consumer confidence in the profession. The Resolutions Officer will manage and undertake assigned matters for dispute resolution, and assist senior officers in more complex dispute matters, including investigating matters/complaints, conducting conferences and applying alternative dispute resolution methods and processes to achieve resolution/closure of matter/complaint, and make recommendations and determinations in relation to matters.

To be successful in this position you will have substantial experience in a dispute or complaint management environment including conducting and managing dispute resolutions.

Conditions

A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Board or the wider public sector, or both, which arise within twelve months of the recruitment process being endorsed. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, permanent, part-time or full-time.
