Shields St Eats venue is located in Redcliffe, just a stones throw away from the water. You will be working with a young, friendly and vibrant crew, all eager to learn new skills. We are a busy venue with amazing potential, producing Legendary Woodfired Pizzas and Burgers as well as a restaurant menu with classic pub flair.
We currently operate 7 days for lunch and dinner, and soon to be weekends for breakfast.
Reporting directly to the Venue Manager you will have the overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and function services.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Coordinate and manage the daily Front of House and Back of House restaurant operations
- Provide efficient, friendly, and professional beverage service to all guests.
- Familiarize yourself with regular guests to meet their requests and needs.
- Deliver superior service while actively seeking and reviewing customer feedback regarding food quality, service and overall satisfaction.
- Ensure team members possess competence in current menu, stay informed about current promotions, and maximize sales to guests.
- Ensure compliance in accordance to Australian Food Safety regulations
- Seek opportunities to grow our brand and increase repeat business within the restaurant and functions operation.
This is a hands-on role requiring the right candidate to possess exceptional time management, organisational and people skills, while working in a changing environment. You will have proven experience in performing multiple tasks effectively without compromising standards, productivity or quality.
You will come with a love for hospitality & customer service, have a solid knowledge of the overall food industry and able to manage small to medium sized functions and events.
The successful applicant must have proven experience in a similar or related field along with barista experience, be available to work a 7-day roster and hold a current RSA essential.
Qualifications
Successful candidate will ideally have:
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role,
- Natural leadership skills with demonstrated results in developing and motivating teams
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
