RETAIL ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

We are seeking an assistant retail manager who can manage this eclectic highly respected and iconic business, one that has been an integral part of the Brunswick St retail landscape for more than three decades.
At Jaspers, we pride ourselves on sustainability to shape our business with the decision to roast shade-grown coffees, use compostable packaging and develop the economic and social benefits we direct to producers via our Fairtrade and Organic products.
The store has an extenstive range of Coffee Beans, Coffee Equipment and accessories, together with a huge range of Chocolates and Homewares from all around the world.
What your week will look like:
- Managing the team and rosters
- Merchandising
- Day-to-day cafe operations
- Training the team
- Ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
- Expense and revenue monitoring in conjunction with the Store Manager
- Making amazing coffee, and experimenting with over 40 different origins.
- Learning all about coffee-making equipment, homewares & how to sell it.
Job description:
We are looking for an energetic Assistant Manager to organise daily operations and help motivate our team to provide excellent customer service. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and help grow our Cafe to remain the destination for great coffee in Fitzroy.
To be successful in this role you should ideally have experience in a similar role in retail or the coffee industry. Availability to work an alternate weekend roster is required.
