Position: Retail Pharmacist
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $118,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Bonalbo NSW 2469
Our client is seeking a full-time Retail Pharmacist to join their Pharmacy located in Bonalbo, New South Wales.
Your role will require you to administer prescribed pharmaceuticals to the general public, imparts knowledge to customers on health promotion, disease prevention, and the correct utilization of medications, and facilitates the sale of non-prescription medicines and associated products in a local pharmacy. Registration with AHPRA is mandatory.
Tasks required include:

• Receive and review prescriptions, meticulously check patients’ medication histories, and ensure optimal dosage, appropriate methods of administration, and compatibility of drugs before dispensing.
• Oversee or personally manage the preparation and labelling of various medications, including liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets, and other pharmaceuticals, in order to fulfill prescribed orders.
• Provide valuable insights to prescribers on drug incompatibility and contra-indications, contributing to informed decision-making in patient care.
• Evaluate and monitor the medication therapy of individual patients, regularly assessing the overall effectiveness of the prescribed drug regimens.
• Maintain organised prescription files, diligently record the issuance of controlled drugs, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Safeguard the storage and preservation of vaccines, serums, and other medications susceptible to deterioration.
• Dispense non-prescription medicines, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic aids, to meet the healthcare needs of patients.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of Pharmacy Sales Assistants to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Bachelor of Pharmacy
• At least five (5) years of experience as a Retail Pharmacist with Pharmacy Management experience or similar
• Registration with AHPRA.
