We are looking for 2 Retail Sales Officers in our South Pacific Welding Group store.
As a counter sales officer, you will be responsible for phone and email enquiries, payments and orders in a retail store front. Face to face customer service, upselling welding supplies and welders in the retail shop and selling various gas cylinders and rentals. As this is a remote location with mining customers, this role involves a lot of order packing and use of a forklift.
The team is highly safety and customer focused and works together collaboratively to achieve great work outcomes.
About your responsibilities:
- You will be charge of phone and counter sales, processing customer orders, responding to requests for information and pricing
- Your role includes promotion and up-selling of new products
- Development and up-keep of in-store displays, and promotional material
- You will be responsible for the stock management and the dispatching and receiving of goods
- Making a valued contribution to a diverse and inclusive team who are passionate about what they do with strong focus on safety of self and others
- Learning and understanding modern Welding processes
What makes you great
- Experience in customer service and sales environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and can work with minimal supervision
- Some understanding of Welding or Engineering would be an advantage
- Furthermore, you are reliable, dependable and want to get ahead
- Are interested in a career in Welding Industry
- You have a Forklift license or willingness to acquire one is essential
