The role
We are seeking an inspiring leader to join the Arnhem family as our Retail Store Manager for our Byron Bay Retail Store. As the Retail Store Manager, you will oversee and drive store KPI's and budgets, manage stock inventory and replenishment, manage retail staff and rosters, execute visual merchandising guides to a high standard, and provide exceptional customer service whilst creating a fun and vibrant store environment.
Key responsibilities
- Work in the Byron Bay Retail Store 5 days a week. This will include 1 day of the weekend.
- Manage store rosters for all retail staff.
- Hire, guide, train and manage retail staff.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and store feedback to the head office team.
- Ensure the store follows safety, health and business laws and regulations.
- Uphold company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance.
- Developing store strategies to raise the customer pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability.
- Manage the store budget vs inventory to ensure appropriate levels of new and sale items are available to achieve monthly targets.
- Manage the purchasing of all Wholesale and consignment products or collaborations.
- Manage orders and stock levels of all products exclusive to the store.
- Attempt to minimise returns and exchanges, by managing customer expectations, advice regarding fit and care instructions.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Develop customer loyalty and relationships.
- Maintain high levels of product knowledge.
- Collaborate with marketing on the planning for instore events to align with collection launches and VIP evenings.
- Work with marketing team on local events or festivals to create instore exclusive activity, events, pop ups and collaborations.
- Complete store open/close procedures efficiently.
- Process sales/returns using POS.
- Action mark downs on sale stock.
- Maintain outstanding store and visual merchandising standards.
- Manage the process of merchandising new collections and sale.
- Complete daily store checklist and ensure this is managed in your absence by store supervisors and casuals.

- 1 – 2 year’s experience in a Retail Store Manager Role.

- Have a passion for sustainability and conscious fashion.
- Experience in shopify POS.
- Experience in Cin7 inventory management system (preferred).
