About the role:As a Retail Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our Scoresby store operations, contributing to the growth and success of our business. You will be responsible for maximizing profitability, setting and meeting sales targets and budgets, and ensuring the smooth operation of our retail environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of dedicated retail sales assistants
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for our store.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to procure pantry and stock replenishment.
- Source new pantry products by building relationships with distributors and suppliers.
- Implement the retail plan in coordination with the retail manager.
- Actively participate in the Retail Leadership team, contributing to strategic decisions and initiatives.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff to foster a high-performing team.
- Play a pivotal role in
New Product Development (NPD) and category management.
- Continuously monitor and improve pricing strategies and stock control.
- Uphold cash management procedures, including daily and weekly reconciliations.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of product nutritional value and applications.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Create eye-catching promotional materials and captivating product displays.
- Innovate and propose new ideas, supported by sound business cases, to enhance our processes and product offerings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Proven track record in interviewing, recruiting, and training new staff.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve financial objectives and meet company KPIs.
- Proficiency in preparing promotional materials, displays, and store events.
- Strong background in merchandising, inventory control, ordering, cash management, and store maintenance.
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technology and company ERP systems.
