STIHL SHOP Mt Albert is part of a group of independent, locally owned Garden Equipment Retailers, with over 70 stores nationwide. The team at Mt Albert take pride in their work and are committed to offering their customers exceptional service and products.
We offer a range of quality goods from well-known brands, including STIHL outdoor power equipment, Masport lawnmowers, Hansa Chippers, Silky Saws etc as well as BBQs from Traeger, Masport and Zeigler & Brown gas grills.
We also service what we sell and have a team of skilled small engine mechanics who run our fully equipped workshop offering our customer the complete package.

We are a friendly bunch who work hard but like to have fun while doing it. We need someone who works well under pressure, has an eye for detail and is multi-skilled, and capable of providing outstanding customer service while also assisting with various administrative tasks.
The role will involve:
  • Meeting and Greeting customers
  • Product sales & advice (full training will be provided)
  • Booking in equipment for servicing
  • Processing customer orders
  • Closing off the till at the end of each day
  • Answering phone calls and customer inquiries
  • Unpackaging & assembly of product for sale
  • Processing of Supplier Invoices
  • Stock management, including processing of inward goods, pricing products, maintaining stock levels and completing stocktakes.
  • Maintaining the showroom to a high standard
  • Various administrative tasks
This role is 40+ hours a week, with rostered Saturdays and possible Sundays in the future, we're a team that all pitch in to remain successful and available to our community.
About you
You'll have a background in retail sales and customer service, experience in similar industry would be highly advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided. You'll be self-motivated, a fast learner with a positive and professional attitude.
You are a people person, who is friendly and approachable, who enjoys a laugh and has a good sense of humour. You will have exceptional customer service skills and have the ability to multi-task in a busy and sometimes demanding environment.
As your role will include some administrative duties, you will have strong computer skills, be organised and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
