As a Return to Work Claims Officer within our Quality & Safety Services Team, you'll play a pivotal role in managing workers' compensation, injury rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs.
Your focus will be on early intervention strategies and the development of tailored return-to-work plans in collaboration with all stakeholders, potentially leading towards self-insurance management.
This is a two day a week role, Fixed Term Contract until 31st January 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and training to managers and staff on early intervention, workers' compensation, and injury management.
- Review, investigate, and analyse workers' compensation claims, furnishing injury management reports and statistics.
- Assist in developing injury management programs to ensure compliance with RTWSA performance standards.
- Learn and participate in RTWSA self-insurance evaluations.
- Support injured employees, ensuring their understanding of return-to-work processes and entitlements under the RTW Act 2014.
About You
The ideal candidate should have professional experience in coordinating workers' compensation claims and injury management under the RTW Act 2014, a comprehensive understanding of SA workers' compensation legislation, and familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
- General knowledge of Self Insurance and the PSSI.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and the Microsoft suite.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within the Quality and Safety Team.
