This role will involve taking responsibility for developing and managing built environment 3D Mechanical models, collaborating, and coordinating with other designers and engineers to deliver projects efficiently and effectively. The role will include:
- Delivering digital design documentation, mainly using REVIT MEP
- Contribute to developing our mechanical design capability in REVIT MEP including developing and maintaining REVIT families and templates
- Projects are in a wide range of sectors including Defence, Community and Civic Centres, Industrial, Educational, Commercial, Health
- Being part of a growing regional team with a diverse range of individuals
About you
The following attributes are essential for this role:
- Preparing presentable single line diagrams and pipework schematics drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Technical Officers
- Assisting Mechanical Engineers and Technical Officers in the design of mechanical HVAC equipment and plant.
- Minimum 5 years Revit MEP Industry experience
- Strong capability using REVIT MEP to deliver mechanical design documentation.
- Strong capability to create and maintain Revit families.
- Collection and analysing data, carrying out complex computations and preparing diagrams.
- Revit collaboration with other disciplines/users using worksets
- Proven proficiency and knowledge of industry design/drafting standards, regulations, practices and techniques and
- Good communication skills and the flexibility to work within a team or individually
- Experience with electrical and hydraulics built environment Revit modelling
- Experience in AutoCAD
- Experience using Navisworks for clash detection
- Experience in setting projects up in BIM360 to facilitate collaboration across the wider team.
- Knowledge of NCC and Australian Standards commonly used in building services
