Position Overview:
This is a full-time position for a Junior Electrical Revit Modeler looking to enter the industry. You will be required to commit five days a week in our office and having an interest in learning Revit modelling is essential. The successful candidate will be working closely with our in-house Electrical Design Manager and design team to develop high quality and detailed electrical BIM models and drawing exports. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience learning Revit modelling from an industry leading design team and you will also be working for a Tier 1 commercial Electrical contractor, offering exposure to diverse projects.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing comprehensive 3D drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations using Revit software.
- Coordinate with on-site management during drawing development.
- Collect and consolidate initial design concepts from peer and translate into coherent technical models for review by the design manager.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
- Demonstrate excellent efficiency with highly detailed outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A relevant degree in Engineering or Architecture (or equivalent).
- Passion for electrical drafting as a career pathway.
- Willingness to learn from other Designers and Engineers.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Exposure to CAD or Revit is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Strong organisational and time management skills and attention to detail.
- High level general computer knowledge is essential.
- Willingness and aptitude to learn/develop electrical design skills, drafting skills and coding skills.
- Ability to understand new concepts and prioritise multiple project demands.
- Confidence to communicate and question, to help drive personal development.
- AU residency or living and working visa rights within AU is required.
