We are currently seeking an experienced Resource Industries Production and Application Manager; the successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with our customers regarding asset productivity. They also need to have an in-depth understanding of CAT machines and their application. The Production and Application Manager supports the sales team through all stages of the Equipment lifecycle, acting as the subject matter expert (SME) on mining Production and equipment application. The role will lead and facilitate 'the completion of site assessments, provision of lifecycle support and make recommendations for continuous improvement.This is a highly collaborative role working in partnership with many sectors within the business as well as current and future customers so you will need to be highly knowledgeable with CAT equipment and mining operations.Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Subject Matter expert for mining Production and equipment and to continue to provide support to customers and the sales team.
- Lead and Facilitate site assessments that result in optimisation of customer fleets and continuous improvement of mining operations,
- Overseeing actioning of recommendations and thorough effective stakeholder management to ensure timely and quality outcomes are achieved for customers.
- Establish, implement and report on customer production performance metrics.
- Assist the sales team with establishing Fleet Performance metrics for new machine deals and aftermarket service contracts.
- Provide training and coaching for WesTrac employees in regard to Production and Application principles.
- Partner closely with the sales team on customer improvement projects
- Work with Caterpillar and other dealers to understand industry benchmarks and best practices for CAT equipment.
- 10 years + Mine site and Mining industry experience
- Tertiary qualifications in mining, engineering or similar
- Comprehensive understanding of mine planning, production, operations, and processes.
- Project or continuous improvement training qualifications desirable
- Comprehensive understanding of mining equipment and technologies.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and the ability to build rapport and influence customers to deliver outcomes for the business.
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking.
- Is highly planned and organised with the ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Advanced communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal.
- High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
