Our client is a national supplier of quality crane and logistical services to the Oil & Gas, Mining and Renewable Energy Industries and are currently seeking Riggers to support their Western Australian operations with opportunities for remote and local work.
Qualifications & Experience
- Construction Card.
- Drivers Licence.
- Excellent attitude to safety and flexible attitude to work.
- Able to pass a D&A screen on a regular basis.
- Experience within the crane industry strongly desirable.
- RB ticket at minimum strongly desired
- ** RIO, BHP, FMG, Yara & PPA INDUCTED PERSONNEL WILL BE HIGHLY REGARDED**.
- MSIC mandatory, or able to obtain (no criminal history).
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Must have a WorkSafe High Risk Work Licence relevant to the position and follow legislative requirements relating to the crane industry.
- Conduct general rigging work with the company and able to choose correct rigging gear checking all components for SWL.
- Conduct site checks for crane placements.
- Be familiar with general crane operation to identify faults or defects that may affect the crane operation and conduct pre-start checks for faults or defects.
- Understand the duty of care principles and be competent to conduct and read lift surveys before any work commences.
- Use and understand all crane signals and act in a professional and courteous manner to all clientele.
- Follow company specific rules and regulations and work in an efficient manner.
- Be familiar with and follow company policies and procedures and promote a positive safety culture.
